It was an eagle-weather kind of day today. Woke up this morning to find the rest of the snow we were promised from the last storm that went through. I drove about 40 miles south on roads that hadn't been plowed yet this morning. A drive that normally would barely take an hour fully consumed 2. In several places the snow scraped along the bottom of my vehicle's belly, impressive for a somewhat high off the ground SUV. While 3-8" of snow fell along the path I took this morning at 8am, by afternoon the above freezing temps helped clear the roads nicely. I'm not even worried about re-freezing since the roads I took were all dry. I took this Bald Eagle photo on my way home near Modoc Illinois, about 40 miles SE of St. Louis.
